Can a home alarm reduce my insurance premium?
Yes, having an approved monitored alarm installed and maintained in working order can qualify you for an alarm discount on your An Post Insurance Home Insurance premium. The alarm must be activated when nobody is at home. The discount is available across all underwriters for owner-occupied properties. For landlord and holiday home policies, the alarm discount is available with Aviva only. Allianz offers the discount for owner-occupied properties only.
