Human About Insurance

For more than twenty years, An Post Insurance has been at the heart of Irish life in towns and cities all across the country. We're a 100% Irish-owned financial services provider, and proud to be a wholly owned subsidiary of An Post - An Post employs more than 9,000 people across the business around Ireland.

We’re not based in a remote office on the other side of the world: we live and work alongside you in our communities, sharing in your frustrations and celebrating your achievements. We understand what matters most to you.

That’s why, at An Post Insurance, we’re human about insurance.

The creative minds at renowned advertising agency JWT Folk are working hard to adapt our brand identity to reflect this, with an eye-catching national advertising campaign featuring familiar acting faces, colourful imagery and vibrant graphics. Produced by Butter Commercials Production Company, our television advertisements will air on all leading channels, including RTÉ, TV3, Sky and select video-on-demand channels.

The campaign was designed around our central message ─ we’re ‘Human About Insurance’ ─ with a strong sense of the cinematic thanks to the drama, humour and resolution depicted in the storylines. Shot on location in Wicklow, the commercials were directed by Lorcan Finnegan, the noted filmmaker and photographer whose feature “Vivarium”, starring Oscar-nominee Jesse Eisenberg, debuted to much acclaim at the Cannes Film Festival in 2019.

Check out the campaign video below.

Gary Finnerty, An Post Insurance’s Head of Marketing, said of the new campaign: “Following our name change from Post Insurance, it unveils both our brand name of An Post Insurance and our new identity, which aligns with the brand architecture within the An Post Group. For both existing and potential customers, it communicates our “Human About Insurance” business philosophy.”

At An Post Insurance, we empathise with the frustrations that many drivers and homeowners experience with their current providers and our commercials show how we offer better, more relatable, customer experiences. In one scene we see a businessman stranded with a broken-down car at the side of the road in the middle of nowhere. In another, a homeowner sits in her colourful kitchen losing patience with the range of options and quotes she’s seeing on her laptop.

A call to a friendly, professional support expert provides both with the practical assistance they need to resolve their problems. At An Post Insurance, we’re that helpful voice at the end of the line; the person with the advice you need and the cover you deserve, at the price you prefer.

As Gary Finnerty says: “We bring together the best in people, technology, competitive products and processes backed up by a great support service that treats customers as human beings and not as numbers or algorithms.” In short, we’re human about insurance.
