What is Tenant's Contents Insurance?
Tenant's Contents Insurance protects your personal belongings including furniture, electronics, clothing, jewellery, and other items if you are renting your home. Your Landlord's Insurance policy does not cover your possessions, so it is important to have your own contents cover in place. Your policy includes public and personal liability cover, protecting you against legal liability for damages and costs following injury, illness, or disease to any person, or damage to their property, up to €3 million. Alternative accommodation cover is included with Aviva policies, giving you somewhere to stay if your rental home becomes uninhabitable. This cover is not available with Allianz tenant's contents policies. An Post Insurance searches across our panel of trusted Irish insurers and presents you with the most competitive price for your chosen level of cover.

The staff that looked after my renewal were all excellent. I was changing my car a few days before renewal and they took care of everything. They helped me with my payment (I was stressed at the time) and were so patient. Overall, very happy with the service. Janette 1st - Mar - 2026
