COVID-19 Customer Notice

We told you we’re committed to our customers, now it’s time to deliver!

Our customers and employees remain our top priority during these uncertain times and we hope you’re all keeping safe and well.

We’ve been working behind the scenes, setting up our remote call centre and thankfully our service levels are returning to normal.

These are unprecedented times therefore unprecedented measures are called for. 

It’s our job to go above and beyond for you - so that your insurance policy, be that car, home, life or otherwise – does not rank amongst your worries right now.

Effective immediately and for the duration of this crisis, the following support services will be available for all existing customers and anyone wishing to join the An Post Insurance community.

Direct Debit default charges: An Post Insurance don’t charge for direct debit defaults. This is one thing that won’t change during these difficult times. Our customers are facing many worries these days. At An Post Insurance, we don’t want unnecessary fees to be one of them. If you are experiencing some financial difficulties and are unsure as to how you will make your monthly instalment, please contact our team who will do their utmost to help you through this unfortunate spell.

Free enhanced personal belongings cover: In support of Ireland’s heroic HSE workers through COVID-19, we are delighted to confirm that all HSE and Healthcare home insurance customers insured through An Post Insurance will get Free enhanced personal belongings cover (€2,000) if their belongings are lost/damaged/stolen while they are working/commuting (€500 single article limit). One small gesture of support for those fighting for our lives.

Working from home cover: Including all home business equipment as standard up to contents sum insured, providing cover to customers when they work from home.

Standard features already available:

Ability to pay for your renewal online: An Post Insurance issue emails and SMS messages to customers who are due to renew their policies. Our SMS messages include an online link to a renewal payment facility. Follow this link with your credit or debit card details handy and payment is very simple. Your documents will be made available online, or via email.

Quote and buy online, in minutes: We have a great online facility for Car, Home and Travel customers which allows customers to get a quote and buy a policy online in minutes, hassle-free. 

Your documents will then be made available online or via email.

Monday – Friday: 9am to 5.30pm

Saturday: 10am to 2pm

Sunday: Closed
